Candy Cane Reindeer
Total Time To Complete:
Suitable for ages 3 - 12
The holiday season is upon us and that means it’s time for laughing, baking, crafting, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. I love that my boys are “crafters”. All they need is a bottle of glue and some googly eyes and they are off and running, ready to create some new masterpiece. We absolutely adore crafting during the holiday season because we get to incorporate all kinds of yummy treats! One of our favorite Christmas crafts are these adorable Candy Cane Reindeer. Using our favorite Wonka® Candy Canes adds such a flair to this easy craft and opens up the door to a whole new world of possibilities.
Wonka® Spree® Candy Canes
Wonka® SweeTARTS® Candy Canes
Wonka® Gobstopper® Candy Canes
Brown fuzzy sticks (pipe cleaners)
Small pom poms (red, brown, black)
Craft glue or hot glue
Step 1. Twist a fuzzy stick around the curve at the top of the candy cane to secure. Twist until it’s nice and tight.
Step 2. Bend and twist the ends of the fuzzy stick to shape into antlers.
Step 3. Use craft glue or hot glue to glue on the eyes and the nose of the reindeer.
Step 4. (Optional) Tie a piece of ribbon around the base of the candy cane to create a colorful scarf for the reindeer – so cute!
The reindeer can be made with either craft glue or hot glue – it’s up to you! We tend to use hot glue because, well, my boys don’t have a lot of patience and they want to start playing with their reindeer friends as soon as possible. The best part about this craft? It can be given to friends and family and is guaranteed to put a smile on their face!
