Wrap cardboard bathroom tissue paper tubes in tissue paper and fill with Nestlé® Jingles to make quick and easy Christmas crackers. Christmas crackers are perfect for giving treats or filling Christmas stockings.
Any craft where you get to reuse or recycle an everyday item is a winner in my book! When crafting with young children they will be amazed at how they can turn that everyday item into something fun. By using cardboard bathroom tissue paper rolls and a few other craft supplies children can make fun Christmas crackers filled with Nestlé® Jingles. Adults will like this craft too as it is mess free!
- Cardboard bathroom tissue paper rolls
- Nestlé® Crunch® Jingles and Nestlé® Butterfinger® Jingles
- Tissue paper
- 12 inch pieces of Ribbon
With an adults help cut two pieces of tissue paper approximately 10 by 6 inches in size.
Layer the two pieces of tissue paper on top of one another with the pattern side down.
Place a bathroom tissue paper roll in the middle of the tissue paper and use a piece of tape to secure the paper to the roll. Continue to roll and place another piece of tape to completely cover the roll.
Using one piece of ribbon tie up one end of the tissue paper. Turn and fill the open side with Nestlé® Jingles.
Once the roll is filled use the other piece of ribbon to tie up the open end. To finish trim the ends of the ribbon.
Nestlé® Jingles are the perfect candy to use for these Christmas crackers because they fit perfectly into the bathroom tissue paper roll. Once they are finished stick them in Christmas stockings, give as gifts or let your children pass them out to classmates.
